I’ve tried quite a bunch of stuff, but in the end I caught most of my fish on one lure: A Mepps Black Fury no:2 (it goes for 5.99$ around here). Vary your retrieve speed and twitch it sometimes. Bass can’t seem to resist it but I’ve also caught walleye, panfish, perch, pike…

If you are cautious and smooth you can avoid snagging. I still have my blackfury from 10 years ago. I now fish with a replacement so as not to lose it after so many memories ;o)
